    8. Postpartum Care and Next Pregnancy
    9. Debrief and Self-care
    10. Competencies for Perinatal Loss

     Learning Objectives:

    1. Analyze various types of perinatal loss.
    2. Formulate an individualized plan of care that supports the unique traditions and cultures of each family experiencing loss.
    3. Examine strategies to support parents and families through the process of grief in the perinatal period.
    4. Investigate how perinatal palliative care may support families to maximize the quality of life and comfort for newborns with life limiting conditions.
    5. Recognize the need for health care professionals to participate in debriefing and self-care strategies.

    Nursing Contact Hours: 

    4.5 nursing contact hours (CNE available until May 23, 2026)

    NCC Coding

    Requirements for Completion:

    Complete a pre-test, the activity in its entirety, achieve a score of at least 80% on the posttest, and complete a participant evaluation.
