DIC is the second-leading cause of severe maternal morbidity (SMM) among hospitalizations for childbirth. You need to know which obstetric conditions are associated with DIC and the signs and symptoms of DIC.
At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:
- Summarize the pathophysiology
- List at least 3 predisposing conditions for DIC in pregnancy
- Prioritize interventions for DIC in obstetrics
