Teri Crawford Brown is a proud Appalachian nurse with over 31 years of experience in maternal-child health. She holds a Master’s in Nursing Administration and has served with the Virginia Board of Nursing. A passionate rural advocate, Teri is the founder of Blackberry Winter, a nonprofit supporting families in crisis, and is widely known as the “Scholar from the Holler” for her heartfelt storytelling, environmental stewardship, and unwavering dedication to rural nursing. Her stories will make you laugh and cry but ultimately will be a reminder that rural nursing is all heart and we’re all in this together.
