The LA Valley Chapter and the Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties
AWHONN Chapter invite you to a Joint Chapter meeting.
Cross-Racial Dialogue: The Latina Perspective
AWHONN is committed to reversing the current Maternal Mortality Crisis and reducing healthcare disparities for Black, Indigenous and People of Color. California Chapter leaders, Katrina Johnson of The LA Valley AWHONN Chapter and Becca Licha of the Santa Barbara & Ventura Counties AWHONN Chapter invite you to an ongoing series of meetings, focused on addressing implicit bias in healthcare. In our next meeting, we will look at the Latina experience: discuss language barriers, watch a few short videos and hear from Latina nurses. Then we will open it up to live discussion. We welcome members from any AWHONN chapter, as well as nonmembers. Meeting starts at 7PM Pacific time. Please bring an open mind and a desire for honest, meaningful conversation.
