The student symposium provides a forum for nursing students to interact and learn from numerous professional nurses in the field. Our time together will kick off with a welcome from our Florida Section Chair, Nancy Travis, MS, BSN, RN-BC, CPN, CBC. Our keynote speaker. By student request, we will continue to offer the "hands-on" session that will include patient care simulations and mock interviews for your first nursing job after graduation. (Bring your current resume or CV!) There will be an open Q&A session featuring AWHONN leaders to answer the questions student nurses have always wanted to ask. This is a fun and interactive symposium offering students an insight into nursing and giving them the opportunity to network and learn from a variety of seasoned nurses.
The fee of $25 (AWHONN member)/$30 (non-member) will cover the registration cost for the student symposium only. This fee does not cover the registration cost for the main conference. However, a deeply discounted student rate is available for all first degree licensure students that wish to attend the main conference as well as the student symposium. Please register for that event separately.
Please register early. There is limited seating and registration will close when the capacity has been met.

We have an exciting agenda that includes nationally renowned speakers and accomplished members of our organization. Conference content includes topics our members have requested that address key issues in maternal-child healthcare and tools for nurses to navigate the ever-changing perinatal health field. Florida AWHONN has a history of success, and this looks to be another exceptional event, with over 250 participants expected.
