AWHONN will host a public policy conference that includes a lobby day from March 29-31, 2020. AWHONN on Capitol Hill participants will be briefed by AWHONN staff and other policy experts, followed by a full lobby day of scheduled individual meetings with members of Congress or their staff to lobby on legislation that impacts AWHONN’s legislative priorities.
While this conference will be open to all members, priority will be given to section and chapter leaders, their legislative coordinators, and nurses who are interested in becoming a legislative coordinator in the future all of whom have an exclusive early registration period until December 31 when registration will be opened to everyone.
Registration is a non-refundable $199 for AWHONN members and $299 for non-members.
You will be responsible for booking your own travel and hotel.

The hotel’s cut-off date for room reservations is February 27, 2020. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel’s prevailing rates.
For those traveling outside of the DC, MD, VA area we recommend arriving on Sunday so that you can join us for a no-host cash bar reception at 5:00 pm and get a good night’s rest before the first session on Monday morning. Appointments on Tuesday may end as late as 5:30 pm. Do not make a flight reservation earlier than 7:30 pm.
The hotel is conveniently located near Washington Union Station, which is serviced by Amtrak, with rail connections to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
